Second Prize: 1 of 24 $100 prizes

Ends: 1/31/2012
If you won the grand prize on this one, how would you spend it? Would you buy a house, go on vacation, pay off bills, put it in savings and forget about it, or blow it all on fun stuff? Many of you know that Matt and I are older grad students, which means we have some significant student loan debt. The FIRST thing I would do would be to pay off ALL our student loans, and the rest would go straight to high-yield savings. It would be so nice to have that weight off our shoulders and have a little bit of a cushion!!

Pay off the house! Then give some help to our poor starving college students and perhaps buy a newer car.

After taxes, I would use it as a down payment on our new house. We’ve been trying to buy a house for over a year, but we can’t sell ours. This would enable us to have some wiggle room with our house’s price so we can sell it. I would also like to help my parents or my brother out if they would let me!
