As many of you know, most of my family lives in New York, New Jersey, and PA, so I visit NY frequently (in fact, I’m in NY as I write this post, waiting for my niece to be born!!). Of course, it would be so much more exciting to come up here and visit everyone if we had this great Manhattan apartment right in the heart of things to call our own. Realistically, though, the taxes on this thing alone could cost half a million or more – if you won, would you sell it to get what money you could out of it, hang on to it as an investment property, or move in and call it your full-time residence? I would definitely try to use it as an investment property – real estate in Manhattan – no matter how small – is worth about 25 times its weight in gold. Tell me what you’d do in the comments!

Investment property. To paraphrase Will Rogers, ‘real estate is on thing they’re not making more of’. Believe he acatually said land, that’s why I said to paraphrase. Whatever, in this day and age a good, solid piece of investment property is worth, as you said milllions.
And what I’m guessing is downtown NYC, people are selling their first born and their first borns first born to live there. LOL
